Photographs for magazine

Written by Amy Liddell

On the 16th of February I spent a day using a professional Sony A290 camera to capture the images for my magazine. The location of the shoot was in Little Canfield, Dunmow and the lighting was mainly non-artificial due to me not having the correct equipment (which has resulted in the images looking slightly darker than they should). However due to Photoshop allowing you to change the levels of the image it hasn’t created any massive issues in relation to lighting the main image. However due to the lighting not being ideal the camera was unable to focus to it’s full ability therefore some of the images are blurry and therefore unusable. The second to last image, being the one I chose was the best one in terms of quality and I was fortunate that the actress appears powerful and elegant portraying her character well.

The use of the prop (old DVD) was required for the actress to hold onto something that she would be holding on the front cover of the magazine. This was going to be the DVD box for the new film ‘Crisis’ in which the actress is starring in.
